inspire me thursday's current topic is paints and to be honest i rarely paint, as im sure you can tell, but i wanted to give it a try anyway.

I enjoy this because the style of it reminds me of cheesy things you see on greeting cards or those things old ladies hang in their kitchens, but on closer inspection, you realize it doesn't say anything cute or uplifting and it gives it a little bit of a sting you don't quite get in Helen's kitchen, you know?
i can't tell that you don't normally paint from this picture. all i can say it i really love it. i love the personality, the subjects and the expressions in this painting. it's pretty cool! :o)
