bustle...i should have reversed it and made it a le bust.
anyway one of the best things about living in sf was the feeling of living in a pulsating breathing city...
there was a sense of... like being a part of something bigger than yourself, or being in a womb, especially when underground.

Very cool post Patrick! I know what you mean about city life--in my 20's you could find me most weekends in NYC, and then after college, I moved to Boston. Now, I definitely have a slower-paced, quiet life in Maine (which I also love)--but there definitely is a buzz to city life--you described it so well--being a part of something bigger than yourself.
