so this is what is left...

i was standing in line at safeway earlier, around midnight, and realized that it was saturday night... and that i was standing in line, alone, at a grocery store.

and it hit me that ive apparenty entered another phase of my life, those moments of: oh, thats how this is now... so... um... ok.

and another little part of me died inside.

but hey, because i used my safeway club card i saved $3.45

so not a complete wash.

Don't worry, once the shock of this realization wears off things will start looking up again. You see it could have been worse, you could have been working in the office, pulling a late night shift for your boss and...actually, that's just what happened to me this weekend except i was working from home so at least i could do some doodling during my breaks :D

I remember that first shocking moment in the supermarket on a Saturday night.

the "oh"
and
the"um..ok"
and
the "little death."

There have been more moments like those.

Supermarkets can be such spooky and enlightening places.

Oh man.
Well.
I've been in your shoes.
Just think of having to pay with a food stamp card on top of that.
:D
